Colorado High School Charter

Colorado High School Charter offers an excellent small-school education for students who have struggled personally or academically in the conventional high school setting. The focus of CHSC is to provide challenging academic courses, constant practice with the processes of learning, reflection exercises to develop character and preparation for post-secondary options including college. Six, 6-week blocks per year give students the opportunity for frequent feedback regarding grades and credits earned as well as providing five enrollment periods per year. Students are given structure, high expectations for academic growth, an 80% requirement for attendance and genuine support through graduation. CHSC courses consist of four essential classes: Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. Students also take Art and Foundations for Success (a critical-thinking skills course). Upon graduation students are prepared for college and/or the work force. With focus and determination, students who have fallen behind have the opportunity to graduate and make up for lost time.
