Educational Program

Our education program is developed from a belief that learning is a life-long process and that the most effective learning takes place in a small and supportive environment. The program is designed around the unique needs of our students.

Colorado High School Charter’s program helps to develop and support feelings of self-acceptance and self-worth; to develop and support the talents and skills of each individual; and to develop and support skills needed for the work world and/or college entrance. Our program helps students understand that change is inevitable and can be positive, encourages students to take an active role in the future, and supports students in making responsible choices.

Colorado High School Charter’s program includes a curriculum that is inclusive and reflects the diversity of our community. All instructional materials are selected with consideration of appropriate treatment of racial and ethnic groups and unbiased views of gender.

The program is organized in a block structure meaning five-week increments of all six classes. When the five week block ends, students have immediate feedback regarding their grades and their credits. Also, at the beginning of each new block new students may start the program.
